Hail King Tiger
Incredible, phenomenal, exceptional and brilliant are some of the words that come to mind when it comes to describing what took place at Torrey Pines south course a week of 14/06/08. It was the second major of the year and probably the most exciting of the current calendar so far. It took 91 holes for the Torrey Pine beast to declare a champion on a Monday afternoon with a crowd of over 24 000 spectators gathered at Torrey Pines. The course was laid out in a truly US Open fashion with one under being the pinnacle score that lead to an 18th hole play off and that was still not enough to declare a winner. The championship went to a sudden death playoff where Tiger Woods was eventually crowned the United States Open. [More]

A Prince is now a Master - 16 April 2008

Gary player was the last and only African player to have won the Green Jacket, That all changed on Sunday the 13th of April 2008; it was one magical Sunday for the prince of African golf. A Special Outing for Africa at the 2008 Masters - 16 April 2008
The 2008 Masters marks a special but rare occasion for Africa. It is the first time in the history of the event that Africa has 7 players in field at the prestigious Augusta National. Gary Player will note this as a special occasion since for a long time he was the only South African competing at this exclusive event. It is also a rare occasion for Mr. Player, he will break Arnold Palmer’s record for most Masters Tournaments when he tees it up for the 51st time.
